We are delighted to announce that Thorsten Fischer will join Moventum Asset Management S.A. as Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management, effective 1 May 2025. He succeeds Carsten Gerlinger, who is retiring after a successful tenure. “With Thorsten Fischer, we are gaining an accomplished portfolio management expert with deep industry knowledge and strategic vision,” said Louis Wright, CEO of Moventum. “He is the right leader to build on the strong foundation laid by Carsten Gerlinger. Under his leadership, we will continue to deliver robust performance and strengthen our position in the market. Together with Sascha Werner, Managing Director at Moventum Asset Management S.A., he will take our asset management business into its next phase of growth.”

Since 2023, Thorsten Fischer has led the premium asset management division at Laiqon BV Bayerische Vermögen GmbH as a portfolio manager. Prior to that, he spent three years at Laiqon Lange Assets & Consulting GmbH – including as a fund manager of a multi-asset fund and adviser to the company’s high-net-worth clients. He also gained extensive experience in the M&A and corporate finance sector during his time there. Earlier in his career, Fischer managed institutional mandates and helped build the research department at a Paris-based investment boutique. Before that, he held positions as a fund manager and equity analyst in various locations, including Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, and London.
